Birmingham & Yeung - smell a rat?

Does anyone else sense that this Yeung fellow is just toying with Birmingham and has no real intent to place his money where his mouth is?

If a bloke is making noises like he wants to buy a foreign club, is flying over for red-carpet treatment, but drags it out for months.... shouldn't he have just got the wallet out and committed by now?

It just seems to me like this bloke is simply enjoying the nice hors d'ouvres and limo from the airport, with British people treating his dodgy ass like royalty.

Not impressed with his piss poor attempts to join in with the crowds chants on Saturday. Seems like the Birmingham board have had enough of him judging by what they wrote at the weekend in the match programme.

He certainly has the cash, just layed out 10 mill in cash for a new pad in Wimbledon and also just built a 6 star hotel overseas.

We just better hope and pray he does buy them so that Gold can come and show us the money, otherwise I think we are going to struggle to get in anybody to really take us beyond average championship club for the next fifteen years.

The sad thing is, I'd probably settle for that. Didn't hurt Pompy to spend a decade in that division - the occasional flirtation with promotion and relegation before someone decided they were a decent bet.

Better than being Rochdale, I suppose.

Ha. I have to say, my personal response about the Gold rumours was to be very quickly tired of them. I never like the idea of 'courting money'. If these big-time-charlies want to get on - they ought to be doing the begging, not vice-versa.

Another thing - you've heard ONE name mentioned in connection with The Albion, and you are already wailing the blues that we are doomed if that one name doesn't pan out to be the Messiah!

I bet you were one of those people who'd be glad to say cheerio to DK at the drop of a fancy titfer.

Well then conversely, it would save this guy's 'face' if BCFC were the ones who walked away - then he could say that they were the deal-killers and he doesn't want to do business with them any more.
He's just basking in the attention, and maybe Birmingham City were a little too gullible and needy in the first place..... as soon as this Yeung showed his loaded mug with any sort of curious interest.

Thought he had until xmas time to finalise the deal so why should he be finalising it now?

Fully expect it to go through and Gold to then reveal his interest in the Albion..excellent stuff imo.

Silly Man.

Im pretty sure that Dick Knight is also praying that the Gold deal comes through, almost an answer to his prayers even. Someone with a proven track record of taking a team with large potential and giving it the investment to turn it into a regular premiership fixture DOES NOT come round very often at all.

Dick Knights pockets get very happily lined in the process, and no more worries about where on earth the money for the Stadium and future team funding is going to come from.

Im sure there will be "others" if Gold doesnt work out but not many of that calibre by a long shot.

If that's all he was bothered about, wouldn't he have picked somewhere else? St Andrews wouldn't be my No1 place to be wined and dined, it's a shitehole.
