Birmingham have made all of their players available for transfer as they look to balance the books at St Andrews

A few that could do a job.....???

Butland would be a useful back up.

I wish!

Burke would be a good addition, Notts Forest were interested a few weeks ago.

Wouldn't touch King with a barge pole.. Zigic is on silly wages.. Stephen Carr is a good CB but he's ancient now.

A big pay cut for anyone who wants to go elsewhere, otherwise I guess they just stay where they are and bankrupt the club.

If he would halve his salary

Ambrose has barely played since signing for them and half their fans think he's past it. Even Palace fans would admit his best years were three seasons ago.

In short: no thanks.

I thought Birmingham were pretty dismal for most of that game, the only half decent players were Redmond, Butland (might question him over Spanish Dave's goal though), Burke and perhaps Curtis Davies at a push.

From what I have seen of Curtis Davies, he is hardly the type of CB who would be able to immediately slot into our way of playing. He seems much more of an old fashioned English centre half. Maybe that is due to the tactics his teams have been playing though.

Id take Curtis Davies and Nathan Redmond in a shot !! Wouldnt mind Butland or Burke either.

Really wouldnt want Marlon King or Nikola Zigic - apparently Zigic is on 50k a week still and Brum have been offering him around, but no one will pay his monster wages.

What does that actually mean, they'll let the players go for free?

Unlikely, I think they're just up for sale. If they really need the money I'm sure they could be bought for a cut-price fee.
