Birmingham defender Gavin Gunning is expected to face a lengthy lay-off after suffering a knee injury on his debut against Cambridge on Tuesday.
Striker Clayton Donaldson and winger Mark Duffy, both summer signings, scored in midweek, boosting their chances of starting on Saturday.
Brighton's Solly March could return from a back problem, but fellow midfielder Andrew Crofts is suspended.
Kazenga LuaLua could also return after Will Buckley was sold to Sunderland.

Have we won yet ( said in a pleading way ). Personally think today is already a relegation six pointer against a team we need to better. Things will change IF the right players are bought in but only time will tell

It's not right, but it's ok. Actually, I love it. The way those footballs look so cosy wrapped up in that long ribbon in the Birmingham badge fills me with hope. We can do this. Nil-nil.
