Way out west
There are plenty on here crowing about the result!

Let the bird related pun-fest commence!

On top of the world
No doubt Albion fans will be raven about our swift return to form - but Swindon fans will find the result hard to swallow despite it being nothing to grouse about.

Saw a bloke outside the County Ground hawking tickets. He had a blackbird with him, dressed up as a wren. She was scratching like mad and I asked if she had thrush. Told her, it was no good swanning around here. Get over to the Heron garage for some Stork margarine and rub it in where the sun don't shine.
She thanked me, said she owed me a good tern and maybe, just for a lark, we could have a shag when she came back.
Then met up with a mate, Jay Finch who hoped there wouldn't be any " owl-ers " today. His hobby is learning club grounds parrot fashion. I asked whether he had bittern off more than he could swallow.
There was a massive crane near the ground and he said it was a ruff job, climbing one of those.
Saw Matt Sparrow after the game, couldn't believe how pigeon toed he was. Said he was delighted to be in the starling line-up, pleased with his goals, coot have gone any better, although he was puffin towards the end.
A great bustard of a robins fan was slagging off the seagulls, crowing about last season. We said " you can snipe all you like mate but it was a screamer of a redstart for us "
We were choughed to blazes and on the way back called into martins and bought some pheasant ale called jackdaw, to celebrate a Mother Carey's chicken of a day out.

Thanks guys! I did attempt to use a bit identifier app but it was so much of a faff I thought I'd ask on here!

Mrs Bobkin's first thought was a falcon, but I thought they were larger than that. It definitely looked on the hunt for something...

Sparrowhawks are more common and often (relatively to peregrines) are in gardens targeting bird feeders .

Yes.

It’s a male.

You are right, Peregrines are larger than Sparrowhawk ( at least males) Also unlikely to see one perched on a low roof - they don‘t hunt/stalk from perches but stoop/dive bomb birds in the air ( at incredible speeds)

Nice picture and an exciting spot for the garden 🙂
