You should only worry if you are a poultry farmer.
Apparently the kids in Turkey had been playing with dead birds

It needs to mutate before it can be transmitted human to human. If it doesn't and you don't shag chickens, you should be OK.

I'm in trouble.

I got a gobble off some Turkish bird last summer, should I be worried?

Yes. Even more than if you had been playing with dead birds.

Paperwork that I have seen reckons that in the next 12-18 months the epidemic/pandemic will hit, and will hit hard. It is overdue, but there is really very little you can do about it. Unless you are in certain key jobs, you won't get any form of vaccination, and even if you do, they can't guarantee that the disease will not be resistant. Looking at 30% of the UK being serioulsy incapacitated for a two - three week period, suitable plans are drawn up. Hopefully better than those for F&M, etc....

Happy New Year.....still, it will give MM the chance to be even MORE creative with the players' positions!

Who is worried about this Bird Flu, do you think it will blow over.

Got to admit because I watch the news quite a bit I am more aware of it at the moment.

Cases of birds thought to be infected are examined down the road from me (in Brooklands, Weybridge)

if you see me sneezing on saturday run :smokin:

Tamiflu is the most promising medication against the current strain of virus.
Since early November its price to the public for 2 treatments has risen from £105 to £195. How long before we see it on E bay?

Where do you get that figure from? Tamiflu is a prescription drug, so shouldn't cost more than £6.50 if you obtain through the NHS.

Do you honestly believe that the government has laid in enough stocks for a Pandemic.
The laws of supply and demand will rapidly swing into action.

Have a look here.
