All three are comfortably better than anything else we have in midfield. I'd give them all two year deals, and then look to move on every other midfielder we have and build around these three.

Agree def about the 2 year deals yes. Would keep Livermoore though... Possibly Fraser too and definately keep Cox...

not too sure about carole and jarrat yet but i think birchal looks very promising. If he can gain a little extra fitness and shed a few pounds he will be quality imo. Sign him up now!

I think I'm going to sit on the fence and go for signing them up if we can't find anyone better......

Seriously, though, first of all we ned (or rather MA needs) to work out how and where to play them. Carole and McLeod on the wings maybe - so where does Cox come in? - benchwarming? Or Birchall instead of Carole, or should he have a more central role as he does when playing international football?

And who is best in CM? - Jarrett, Birchall, Livermore (as long as McNulty is available to play LB) - not to mention the greatly improved Tommy Frazer. Mostly, they've all pretty much disappeared in matches this season, largely because the opposition are passing the ball round them, and our lot are hoofing the ball over their heads. If MA can sort out roughly what is the 'first eleven', and start them playing in a certain way, then at least the others will know what is expected of them when they have to come in as cover.

Carole Jarrett Livermore Birchall would be my current midfield. Need a left footed left midfielder for sure as McLeod has been poor and Cox isn't good enough

How very Brighton, in Jarret we finally have a midfielder who has a bit of height, can get stuck in and probably can play from box to box.

So what do the fans do, write him off as not good enough...

exactly right, what we have been crying out for, he will be one of these players most slag off until hes gone, then people will realise we made a mistake in letting him go.

All three for me, Jarret is strong on the ball, Birchall inventive and Carole has the flair.

Still haven't really seen enough of Birchall to say whether he is worth signing on - he looks decent enough but I think he needs to step it up a gear to really make me think he is un-releasable.

Carole is a great addition to the squad. Even if he wasn't in our team he is a great impact sub. Hopefully he can keep some form for the season and then he'd be a really good signing.

I like Jarrett and would probably keep him. He's clearly a level above what we have, although I must say I'm not convinced he is much better than a lot of players we could bring in, I'm certainly not convinced he is the answer to our midfield weakness that has definetely not been solved since Hammond left and in truth probably goes back to Carpenter's heyday.

So who's on the left - Carole or Birchall? Both are basically right wingers, aren't they?
