I thought Billy Sharp was carrying an injury in the first match. I really don't think I could put up with any more injured forwards. Southampton have Lee Barnard anyway, but he might be injured as well.

I was thinking about Billy Sharpe the other day, to be honest I can't see him moving down south. His wife will be needing all the support she can get at the moment, there is no way they'll leave their friend's and family (or their little boy :( ).

If he does move it'll be to a team like Leeds.

He will go to Ipswich if he leaves, already stated how fantastic the ITFC fans were to him after he lost his son.

I'm not 100% sure Sharp's what we need, good though he is. He's not that tall, & with CMS it wouldn't offer us a lot of options up front.

Besides, I've always had him down as a bit of a professional northerner, could be proved wrong but I see him as someone who'd rather go to a middling northern club than a top of the table southern one.

This.

Didnt he say the other day he can't see himself leaving Doncaster after the support he has received. I'd be amazed if he left them for anywhere more than a few miles away.

Pretty sure he will end up at Ipswich. Their fans are very confident he's going there.

Jutkeweitz(sp) will go to Southampton, its his home town team.

Wouldnt be surprised if they also went for Jay Rodrigues again from Burnley as long as Burnley don't put another ludicrous price tag on him. When you look at the Saints squad, their only weakness is up front. As already stated Guly is more of an attacking mid/winger so after Lambert theres not much there, they could do with 2 more forwards and they definitely have the money.

Didn't Poyet try signing Sharp when he first joined as manager or was that a previous manager because I remember there being interest from us not too long ago.

He is incredible. I know I might get "shot down" for this, but I think he is better than CMS.

Woah woah woah! Better finisher admittedly, CMS seems a little hurried in front of goal sometimes, but I ask you, would Billy Sharp have been able to do what CMS did after 92 mins against Forest...? Money can get you all the skill in the world, but you'd be hard pushed to find someone/something that with the energy of CMS!

We have never referred to the Nigels as "scummers". Whereas that is the name Portsmouth gave Southampton and has stuck. A bit like how everyone knows who the pigs or dingles are, even from outside those areas.

Dingles: The name for Wolves and Burnley, as given to them by West Brom and Blackburn. It basically means inbred country bumpkins, in deference to the characters on Emmerdale (I think)

Pigs - Sheff Wed & Sheff Utd call each other this - initially to do with Sheff Utds red and white bacon rasher strips, but has stuck as Sheff Wed's name as far as other South Yorks/Chesterfield/Mansfield etc are concerned.

You learn something everyday even at an old age!

I know it wont happen but I would prefer Sharp to go to Southampton and Lambert come to us.

Barnsley are also known as the Dingles in these parts
