A swap deal involving Beckford going the other way was rumoured in The Star yesterday - find this hard to believe as Sheffield United already have too many strikers.

I also read somewhere that Doncaster Rovers, Notts County, Barnsley and Scunthorpe could not meet the asking price.

Notts County's bid was 400k apparently.

Apparently Sharp is going to Leeds on a year-long loan as part of the transfer deal seeing Beckford going to Bramall Lane.
