A couple of shiney things, one possibly a gem and the other possibly an industrial diamond, in a field of eager donkeys.

Sorry for digging you out earlier today. I "may: have misinterpreted your post

:lolol:

Norwich would have been better off buying 2/3 Duffy esq CBs

Slightly unfair to judge them on the first 3 games I guess given who they played, but they don’t seem to have learnt playing open football with Grant Hanley at CB doesn’t work.

No problemo

I have no idea whether Gilmour will go on to be anywhere near as good as Mount, but the fact is at the same age (20 years and a couple of months), the latter was in the Championship.

The Lampard effect massively helped mount.

Would Tuchel have given mount a chance if he wasn’t already in the team?

Mount also plays further forward which helps

Definitely. The jury was still very much out on Mount long after Lampard gave him his chance in the top flight. Of course, Frank's faith has proven to be fully justified but it was a bold decision at the time.

I thought he was a holding midfielder hoping to replace Kante. He should get plenty of practice at Norwich
