Bizarre. We have loaned out a more experienced player.

And not replaced bissouma or maupay. Strange window.

Alzate will hopefully get loads of game time to rebuild his match fitness, form and confidence.

He remains an Albion player.

Gilmour’s a CM box of tricks, great passing, touch and awareness, hopefully he’ll compliment what we have already.

Doesn’t seem that long ago that SA and YB were deemed our future CM s and all was rosey in the Amex garden
Good Luck SA at WBA
Not sure it’s working out at WHL for Biss just yet though ?
Billy G seems a possible upgrade on Alzate currently Lets see how it goes eh ?
Think SA s been unfortunate with injuries and Covid tbf
Trust in Uncle Tony’s advisors 😉

He’s all of those things but Gilmour is also tough in the tackle. This is a really excellent, exciting signing for a bargain price.

I think the Norwich loan has wrongly totally clouded some people’s opinion - a loan in really difficult circumstances to a terrible side who changed manager and when he was only aged 20/21 and still developing. I would urge those people to go and read the match reports from England v Scotland and his games for Chelsea. The boy is a serious talent.

bg might be an upgrade on em, certainly an understudy to al and pg, he should complement the power of mc and am.

We already had Caicedo for Biss, and Undav for Maupay...

Edit: SNAP!

If undav is our maupay replacement we have massively downgraded.

Of course cucu to the perve is a huge downgrade too.

Significantly weaker first 11, but more cash in the bank.

Ditto, even before this news, I was kind of dismissing his Norwich season.

A car crash of a season with little investment in all the wrong areas, BG played with woefully inferior players compared to Chelsea. I remember his arrival at Norwich, he was hailed as the playmaker that was going to turn them around, heaping silly pressure on him.

Potter’s literally a master at improving players/people, Gilmour’s in great hands if he has the hunger, I bet he wants to succeed as a top flight footballer.
