I can't see this happening as I believe Gilnour is still highly rated by Chelsea, has last season gone well for him I think he could have broken into the side this season.

Adit stands with Moder being out for a considerable amount of time, we are down to 5 CMs - Lallana, Caicedo, Mac Allister, Mwepu and Alzate. Maybe Gross too, however I think an extra CM would be handy and perhaps Kacper is that player, but Gilmour could be great business.

I wouldn't be against this at all. He looked very promising when he first broke through and he is still only 21 so very young with more to come. I certainly wouldn't rule him out after one season playing for a really poor team who changed manager half way through. If the recruitment team think he's a good fit, I'm happy with that.

And we have signed more players from Chelsea over the past 10 seasons than any other team (The Athletic), so could be something in it!

Was it him who missed an absolute sitter at Carrow Road when we played up there?

Edit just checked and it wasn’t, it was Sargent

Is this Daily Mail writer just making things up here

Gilmour could replace Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo who is being tracked by Manchester United with the Red Devils expected to make their move for the Ecuadorian.

It was after Sanchez miss-kicked and the Norwich player had an empty net. Duffy cleared off the line.

There was a bit in The Athletic recently which said Gilmour was on Tuchel's list of players who could leave.

Thought he broke into the Chelsea squad with Fat Frank who obviously rated him. Can see him going to Everton to link up with FF for the next 5 weeks. Until FF gets sacked that is.

He wasn't given a squad number by Tuchel this season which means he's not going to be playing there. Loan or sell isn't known afaik.

so its Gilmour and Berge we all of a sudden linked too, we have yet to replace Biss.

I would not be against either for the right deal.

He would be completing with Lallana and Alzate, possibly a good bench player to bring on to unlock a stubborn defence.

10 million quid for Gilmour is a superb deal. He plays brilliantly for Scotland and has always performed well at Chelsea. Had a stinker at Norwich last season, but if it had gone well, we wouldn't be able to consider him.

Good lad as well, have filmed with him.

I am sure we are planning to sell Caicedo,at some point at a hefty profit,so this is another replacement in the chain. Maybe get Alzate out on loan to give him more playing time.
