Well OTT all that Duffy love-in yesterday.

"Duffy scores, we're on the pitch....."

Acknowledge his arrival on the pitch with polite applause then cheer our lads on.
Odd take, in all honesty.

A player who more than did his bit in helping us get promoted and also stay in the PL. Players like him are the rock upon which the relative success we're enjoying today is built IMO.

What a strange post PotG.
As mentioned, Shane was a big part of our promotion team and will forever be remembered for that.
I do believe the 'Duffy scores......' chant was started before we remembered he comes up for corners. When he did there were a few murmers of 'oh heck, what if he scores'.
One of the best 'chanting' & 'banter' games of a while. Anyone record any of it.
The 'we want our ball back' whilst Norwich sang 'we've got your ball' was funny.

Blimey, it's only an opinion.
Even when it was nil each and the Duffymeister was warming up the chanting was considerable and protracted.
My view is simple, I find it odd that some players of our own side don't even get a mention in a song yet a player from several years back gets lauded like a saviour.
Just my view, sorry and all that

I'm with you on this. For instance, and I've thinking quickly here, is there a real chant for Mitoma, Bart, Hinshelwood or Minteh other than just their names. Something like the Dunk song.
I remember going to Huddersfield where they had a specific chant for every player, back in the days when they had a crowd :)

The fortnightly brain wave on here, where someone different each time thinking they’ve invented it suggesting we sing Carlos Beleba to the tune of I’m A Believer which never gets off the ground, demonstrates we have a lack of ideas/unwillingness to anything original.
Football in a library after about five minutes was another low point

The Caicedo ditty was always popular, maybe we can get that one going twice in a week when the atmosphere drops.....

I'm sure had the game been in the balance then the later Duffy banter would not have happened. As it was we were winning and quite comfortably too, the shock of which proved too much for some and the disgraceful scenes of fans having fun then ensued. Because of this I am now firmly Fab out and expect an apology from PBOBE.

Agree - thought it was mostly great on Saturday…….good humoured from both sides. Even the little drummer boy took it in good spirit.

Was it Norwich fans who sang the pisstake “Shall we build a shed for you?”at Withdean?
It was 'my garden shed (my garden shed), is bigger than this' in the first Withers season in the Championship.

I was remembering it over the weekend because of how much we've changed since, whereas they're now back to basically where they were on that day. But, if we're talking Norwich fans, then fair play to them for a decent turn out on Saturday and a very limited 'fire drill'. Although, when you're 10 minutes walk from the station and the same from the town centre with the options of busses home or a nice walk by the river perhaps getting home for Joel Dommett is less of a concern.

Strange I was pretty sure they sang about building a shed, maybe it was an encore to what you say was sung?

I did laugh when they sang "You bum your seagulls", in response to the Norwich Family chant from us.

I'm sure I'll be told it was homophobic and I should have reported it, but I didn't.
