Not good news from our point of view, he'll definitely sort them out and have them climbing the table.

Wait, some of you thought Everton were going to get relegated?

All it's doing it substituting that common way he chews gum to the more elegant Evertonian toffee mastication.
God help them all :shootself

They could well have done in their current predicament, no club is too big to go down.
So Man U could go down?

They are obviously going to bring in a manager that can sort them out, they're obviously an attractive club for managers, they have good players (not yet managed well) and will spend again in January if necessary. They're very unlikely to go down IMO, we should be cheering against other teams.

Are they "too good to go down" then ? They've been a SHAMBLES this season. If you saw them at Southampton yesterday then you'd know that they're certainly not down there by accident. They've conceded 28 goals, the worst in the PL - even CPFC2010 have "only" let in 25.

I was hoping they'd carry on with Unsworth for a while longer and then take a punt on some unknown foreign bloke. Had that been the case, they would very much be relegation candidates IMO. Sadly though, BFS will sort them out.

I heard that there is some compensation that Palace will be due, should he take on another role within a certain period of time?

Doubt they will spend any more, they've already blown a hell of a lot of money and spending any more could blow their budget for years.

Are the majority of their players actually any good? They've got a few 'names' like Sigurdsson but a lot of their players are well past their best imo. Take their striking options- Niasse (who was deemed not good enough and was loaned out to Hull 1 year ago, was almost loaned out again this season), 20yr old Calvert-Lewin who still has a lot to learn before he makes a mark consistently at this level, and Rooney who doesn't really even play as a striker anymore.

Big Sam will keep them up but genuinely believe they could have gone down if they stayed with Unsworth for much longer and took a gamble on a manager from abroad.

Indeed. Like Villa did with Remi Garde was it? That's the kind of candidate I was hoping for.
