I'm pretty sure there are LOADS of other strikers he let go who went on to play in the premiership (Marcus Stewart might be one of them). I appreciate you have to allow mistakes, but I would have been pretty agrieved as a Bristol R fan, seeing all these former players go to the dizzy heights.

yeah i understand that but so many other managers have more and bigger mistakes than ian hollaway

Holloway is not that great as a manager. He has one promotion to his name at QPR. Bristol Rovers sacked him after he ballsed up their promotion bid when they at one point clear at the top. QPR ended up sacking him. He did OK at Plymouth, but spent more money than most managers of the Janners have and he relegated Leicester.

Indeed, when taking his stupid personality out of the equation and looking at the facts, it turns out he ISN'T such a great manager after all.

EXACTLY! Surely it was him who let the likes of Jason Roberts, Nathan Ellington etc leave Bristol R as well?

Adams let go of Lee Johnson, all managers make mistakes.

Also dodnt he have to sell them due to money reasons?

He looked gutted on sunday and you could tell relegation hit him hard.

Put me in the "he's an average manager, and a shithouse bore with stupid country bumpkin accent" camp.

Name them. Infact, name a manager who released players who went on to achieve as much as: Zamora; Ellington, Stewart and Roberts. Bare in mind these were players in league 2 at the time and 3 of them went onto play Premiership football.

Edit; he also let Junior Agogo go :)lolol:) when he was at QPR, and he tore the African cup of nations apart.

I would not want him anywhere near the Albion.

I have a number of good friends in Leicester who were surprised when he went there but were prepared to give him a chance.

It didn't take long for them to be very critical of him and even three months ago they were convinced he would get them relegated. 'A clown' sems to be their favourite description of him.
