Newspaper reports that there are more station closures to come, leaving a scant few, that supposedly will suffice.
IMO it seems there's hardly enough OB to cope with the demands of today.
Utter madness.

Don't worry, when Corbyn gets in we'll have an extra 250,000 policeman on £3000 per annum

...or was it 3000 new policeman on £250k per annum? Meh, I'm sure it will work itself out.

250, 000 extra teachers as well with no plans on how to pay the wages. Maybe if he taxes the ordinary working folk more now there's a thought

Have you got a link to that? Can't see anywhere with a reference to 250k extra teachers bearing in mind that in Nov 2016 there were 457k teachers in the UK and, according to you, they are going to increase the number by over 50%

There is little evidence to support the idea that larger police forces prevent crime. Most studies suggest there is no correlation between sizes of forces and crime rates, while I found one that found a 3% drop in property crime with a 10% increase in force size, with no correlation between violent crime (which is referred to here) and force size.

Go ahead and dump all of your country's money into cops, but I can tell you very certainly that it'll cause more problems than it purports to solve.

Also, acid attacks? What the ****, I'd rather be shot. Where are you guys getting all this acid?

With a big increase in violent crime in London over the last 12 months, knife crime up over 10% according to the Guardian, acid attacks over 25% etc is it time to give Sadiq Khan his marching orders ?

He seems a nice enough bloke but is he not out of his depth ?

He talks a good talk but little actual ideas or response on the serious crime escalation in London.

There were statistics released a month or so ago that showed that virtually all types of crime had risen, some by 30%,in Worthing, should we then expect the Tory majority on the town council to resign ?

Trust me, there is not much of a plan to pay the current number of teachers. That's why they are shedding TA's and support staff and specialist intervention teachers.

What has Corbyn got to do with Khan? You'll be blaming the state of the Brexit negociations on Boris next

Looking at the binfestry on this thread with it's polarised divisions on a pro/anti EU and pro/anti Tories and Labour it might be worth casting your minds back, to just a few months ago,to when Mrs May said " Since the Brexit vote, I can see Britain coming together .........." What a judge of character !

It's also about crime , it's in the title , and the conversation had turned to Police cuts , hence my comment about Labours police increase policy which was comedy gold at the last election .

Khan is Labour too didn't you know.

Keep up old chap

If we can get the Greens in we'll get 500,000 new homes for £60k a pop.
