I'm confused (not too difficult, admittedly).
I was just commenting that I couldn't see any obvious reason why Lawton would have chosen such a song for his entrance music. At least if he was from Wales, the use of Tom Jones would have made some sense, unless of course there's a connection between Tom Jones (or Delilah) and Stoke that I'm unaware of, in which case I withdraw my original observation.
Delilah is Stoke City's theme song.
I assume you've never been to the Britannia? They always score against us, at which point their fans burst into Delilah with a big 'Ha Ha Ha'. It's bloody impressive.
