Why didn't they sign Weghorst, instead of Burnley?
Gutted. I liked him. Entertaining side, easy to beat, what's not to like ?
I guess there's only so long you can live on the glory of turning Ben White into the best defender in the whole wide world ever.
We drew 0-0 at home
We drew 0-0 at home
To be fair, HWT, said they were easy to beat, which they are, to most teams.
Unfortunately, at the moment, we’re not most teams.
Jesse Marsch is the likely replacement.
American coach, very good record in the States, mixed bag in Europe, although pretty impressive at RB Salzburg
Sacked from last job with RB Leipzig.
Record of 7 wins 4 draws and 6 defeats.
Bit of a punt, in my opinion, could work, but, equally might not.
Marsching on together.
People said the same about Hassenhuttl when Southampton lost everything there was to lose for about five or six months. They didnt sack him... they signed a couple of good players and now they're fine. Because football is played by football players.
Different sources say different things on whether Bielsa wanted his club to recruit players or not. They would probably have needed something but it didnt happen.
I dont think his tactics are wrong. They have good attacking players in Raphina, Harrison, Bamford (when fit) and James (when playing in his right position) and they have a pretty poor defense. So what do you do? Attack. Play to the strengths of the team. With the players they have, they are more likely to grab a 4-3 win than try to defend themselves to a 1-0 win somewhere.
