My best punt was when Micky Adams won us the 4th division title. Put on £ 250 and got back £ 2300. The following season I put on £ 60 and got back over £ 900 when Peter Taylor won us the 3rd division title.

I've had a lumpy bet on promotion at 11/2 pre-season. 7/1 was only ever available after our opening 2 matches.

Corals. At the same time they went 22/1 to win the league. They may have a large liability on those as they went out on a limb.

I might have the poorest odds, but do I have the earliest?

I don't know why people who backed us pre-season didn't have some more on when Corals pushed us out

I agree. 22/1 was MASSIVE.

16-1. Still think that's about right. Blackburn will will it. Would be delighted with the 4-1 place.

Bet Victor still have Palace at 6/1 to be relegated. Surely worth a punt? (heart over head)

The next best (according to odds checker) is 7/2 at Sky Bet.

I had a go at 18-1 for the title mainly because I thought Kuszczak, Bridge and Bruno were three of the big missing links, but I still don't think that is huge and 9-1 is way too short. 7-1 to be promoted is a much better price, and maybe even 11-2 is as well. Missed those.

I did similar but not such a big stake. Got around £600 winnings on the Micky Adams promotion - paid for the following years season ticket and a nice lump on for the next season and pulled in another £700ish that year.

Not placed an Albion bet since as never fancied the odds but am back on with £40 at 11/2 for promotion this year to hopefully make it a hat-trick for me v the bookies!

I don't bet on anything other that what I know so would never bet on the horses but I knew that that Micky Adams team with Cullip, Carpenter, Zamora etc was going to get promoted and I've got that same sort of feeling this year! Fingers crossed!

Nice work. Most just give it all back.

Was a good year for the roses as Elvis would say. I had won on us the previous year so waded in with £100 on us @ 16s & a best ever value bet @ 25s Bobby Z to be consecutive divisional top scorer for £100. He WALKED it 7 clear. Happy days
