Jesus, what a shocker. Awful, awful news. An NSC stalwart and fantastic cantankerous character - one of the mainstays that have made this place so indispensable.

He'll be very much missed. RIP.

RIP Frank.

Blimey - I was the recipient of lots of abuse from him, but this is very sad. Funnily enough he'd mellowed towards me a little in the last 6 months and we'd agreed on some stuff.

Kind hearted, decent guy in real life.

First met him on the train back from Chesterfield away, after the match Oatway got sent off in. I remember him saying that if Chesterfield were the best the league had to offer, then we'd be champions. Refused beer as he 'wasn't drinking', then bought a bottle of whisky at KX, and proceeded to finish it before Hassocks!

He gave me a lift to Swindon away once, will never forget his comedic non stop critique of other drivers.

RIP Frank, you'll be missed.

What are our MOTHERS going to do now!?

I'm sorry, but someone had to say it, and I'm sure he'd have a chuckle at it.

RIP mate, your recruitment thread was one of the best ever on NSC.

When I saw the thread title, I must admit I thought 'what has that cantankerous so-and-so done now?!' I never knew him personally, but sounds like he was a decent chap. NSC has certainly lost one of it's more feisty characters. RIP Frank.

Never met him in person, but will be missed here certainly. My thoughts go out to his family and friends.
