BHA v Leicester - Score Predictor

Struggling BHA (16th) entertain Leicester (3rd) at The Amex, next Saturday night.

The Seagulls with the fewest home wins (one) meet the side with the joint highest away wins (nine). Our recent scoring record in the league is 0,1,0,1,1,1,0,1,0 - yet we create the chances for none of our strikers to convert on a regular basis. Who knows perhaps against a side that will attack us - the game will be more open?

Head to head - we have won 13, drawn 7 & lost 17. BHA have failed to score in any of our past 4 meetings against The Foxes & failed to win in 8. Have to go back to the Championship Campaign of 2013/14 when we did the double. Despite our continued struggles in this division - when the going gets very tough - we do seem to grab a result to keep us above that plimsoll line. Perhaps this will be the game?

As for yesterday's correct score predictors - the winners:

0-2 defeat. If we're lucky (and unlucky too, obviously).

Depends what those at Stockley park want the score to be for their accumulator i suppose.

Hopefully Webster will be back we miss his driving out from the back with the ball , and perhaps Lamptey may get 20 minutes or so , but in truth as a team we're doing everything right apart from the important bit so the scoreline could be anything either way .

2 nil heart 0-1 head

This is going to be a sweaty one. Anything else than a loss would be fantastic. Reality is that a loss is the most likely outcome however and that I am more excited/interested in the two upcoming games after that (Saints/Newcastle).

Vardy doesn't look really fit, also it looks like Harvey Barnes get injury today (I wish him well but not next Saturday). If we keep maximum concentration defending set pieces we will win 1-0

Yep, Barnes injury looks a longer-term one. Evans off injured as well, Vardy looks like he's carrying a knock added to Maddison, Perez, Fofana, Praet, Morgan and Justin all currently injured plus they play midweek away at Burnley .... if Schmeichel gets injured we might even score a goal.

I like your positivity - but assuming he is not sacked or leaves in the next few days - Potter has managed ONE win at home this season. Can’t really see what’s going to change next week?

Finally a bit of luck

Luck has a part but noting from another poster the xg from our frontmen is poor:

Maupay +4.23
Welbeck +2.64
Connolly +2.39
Trossard +1.82
Gross +1.57

That’s 13 more league goals we should have scored from these 5 than we have done, which should have put us comfortably mid-table.

Bad Luck? Players not good enough? Wrong manager? Poor coaching?
Probably a combination of all of this realistically.

Not sure how xg exactly works but I assume the manager and coaching had something to do with how high those xg scores are (being in the right places/creating chances) so maybe its more the players not finishing?
