There's more chance of us and creepy Crawley meeting in the Championship than meeting in League 1. Cant honestly see us getting relegated from the Championship with the infrastructure we now have and I honestly think that Crawley are developing the infrastructure to be climbing the leagues over the next 6 or 7 years..

having a pretty stadium will not keep us in the championship,T B needs to spend big time ,if not Crawley town here we come

What a ridiculous statement. To challenge at the top we do need to spend big but we are only probably one striker away from being lower mid table. I can't understand what basis you have for that statement.

Crawley will have to hijack some fans from somewhere and it's more likely to be from the North of the town than the South Coast. I wonder if that's the reason why Palace have sold so few season tickets ?

This I have to agree with. Let me explain!! I live in Crawley so have a bit of understanding about whats going on. My brother (shame to say) is a palace season ticket holder with 3 friends, they ARE ALL not renewing and getting Crawley Season tickets as they have had enough of the continue down turn in palace performaces over the last few years. (there words not mine..honest) Also my next door neighbour was a casual visiter to shithurst and he has also brought a season ticket at Crawley along with his 2 sons who are also Palarse fans. There must be more as for Crawley to sell so far nearly 1200 tickets and we are only in May is a huge acheivement and I reckon a good percentage of those were Palarse supporters. I dont any Brighton Fans who have done that.

I have to admit that joking aside you'll probably have a more enjoyable season being a Crawley fan. As I said elsewhere there seems to be a growing trend of teams coming out of the Blue Square and then going up to League One. Crawley do need to improve their ground though. It has a low capacity and it's worth noting that whilst they walked away with their league their average gates were only the 6th highest, their average attendance were 3720 less that Luton's. An Average gate 2521 is not going to get them very far no matter how much money gets poured in. You can see them doing a Rushdon if they aren't careful. Mind you given Palace's situation I reckon they will lose some people to Crawley, doubt that we will though.

Thats a fair shout, the only thing I will say is that the crowds from January to the end of the season were all above 3300 and that is about average for league 2.

Any ideas if there are plans to expand Broadfield in the future?
Would love it if Crawley took even more Palace fans away from Selhurst
Do you believe everything you read on here? They may have borrowed a few just like Brighton have a load of premier fans who support you as their little team. Don't tell me they are all ex-Goldstone boys ,and if they were I would be asking them where the f*** they were when you really needed them.

Well played Crawley once again. At least our North Sussex neighbours know how to win & are doing their bit to meet us in League 1 next season.
As for the Albion? If we carry on over the rest of the season as we have over the last 10 games - then surely BHA v Crawley will be a league fixture next year?

Luckily there are 3 woeful teams at the bottom of the table, and a handful of others which are worse than us as well.

Much as I can see areas of our team which need strengthening, our home matches should see us safe this year.

The bottom 3 are all bumping along at under 0.82 points per match, and we have a 10 point head start on top of this.

Over 4,000 at the Broadfield. Would be interesting to know how many away fans.
Crawley are definitely still on the up.
Would be interesting to see how the teams would fare against each other.
I don't think the gulf is that wide between the teams.
Indeed I think the gap is closer now than EVER before.
