BHA 7th meet Birmingham 17th at The Amex on Saturday for a rare meeting. The sides have only met 25 times, with 7 victories for the Seagulls & 9 wins for The Blues with 9 matches ending in a draw. This is the latest opportunity for Albion to climb into the top 6, if we win & Ipswich fail to beat QPR. On paper, we may have the better odds, but on every occasion when we could climb into the top 6 this season, the team have blown it!
Whilst there is 10 places between the sides there is only 7 points & Brum haven't lost a match in their last 10 outings! 4 wins & 6 draws. Over the past 6 league matches, Albion are 6th & Brum 11th, but only one point difference.
Our recent record against Birmingham is lousy, with only 1 win in our last meetings, an Andrew Croft goal at St Andrews last season. We haven't beaten them at home in the last 4 matches. You have to go back to 1988 for the Seagulls being victorious.
