Yesterday i attended the meeting of the Argyle Supporters Trust in Plymouth.
The Supporters Club had decided to make a donation to their fight to save their club of £500 .This will help in the paying of the staff who have not been paid for a number of months. I received a very warm welcome and the donation was very much appreciated . It is hoped that the club will have new owners in the near future, sadly they are not Argyle or even football fans but look to fund the club with the aid of property development. Maybe not the best scenario. But Argyle fans i spoke to seem to feel it will be ok and will save the club as long as the funds are in place. We the supporters club were very pleased to help in this small way and Argyle fans were extremely grateful for our help. In the times when the rich get richer its important we stand together to keep clubs and what it means to their communities going.

Thats a nice gesture. Will the property development mean the selling of Home Park and all that that entails....?

I was wondering if Bozza could co-ordinate a 'whip round' from NSC,... it will only be a small gesture, but will be good for the soul if nothing else.

you know you are in the shit when you are relying on property developers! there are a lot of heros in Plymouth Argyle FC and I hope the club survive. Good Luck

the ground is safe as there is a covernt that says the space can only be used for playing football. I believe the idea is to build a hotel on adjoining ground near the new sports development next to the ground that includes a Olympic size swimming pool.

This is the money from The Seagulls Party I take it?

Dear Members

Just to let you know that the Annual Conference last Thursday decided to wind the Seagulls Party up. The decision of the members was that the remaining funds will be given to the Supporters’ Club with the recommendation that they be used for the benefit of all Albion fans, and that the Supporters’ Club is asked to be minded to make donations to the Plymouth Argyle Fans’ Trust and to the Robert Eaton Memorial Fund as it sees fit.

Formal minutes to follow.

Secretary (of the former party!)

sadly yes. and - with the support of the local council - developing the surrounding land. I guess that at least it will mean the end of long delays getting off the car park after a game as there almost certainly won't be one (a car park that is).

Great gesture by the supporters club. Well done!

well done and good luck to Plymouth, I hope you come back from this and survive this year and stay in League one, Clubs like Plymouth need to be in the higher leagues as they are the biggest team from that area, and would love to see them stay up and Swindon get relegated, hopefully we can help them next weekend....
