Already been done earlier still a probable improvement on Chicksen.and Calderon as left back. He apparently turned down offers from a Championship club and Portsmouth to be at home with his family.

Dan Harding lives in Hiltingbury (three miles from the Silverlake Stadium), in a house that he had just finished having re-developed when he was at Saints, and which they never actually got to move into before he was transferred away.

Nope I saw it on twitter too - can't recall the account - some independent football one I think. I posted this last night - Surely there's some truth in it otherwise it's a random thing to make up?!

Found it - It was the FL Transfer Talk account. Pretty sure they have been wrong about a few things before but yes, very random to make up. Unless the spend time going through the forums and finding players that might leave and then making it up to try and get a scoop?

The odd footballer shows loyalty to former clubs and won't ever play for a teams' rivals. There's a fair few examples of this. Glenn Judas Murray defenders take note! And Harding's wasn't even a direct transfer from Saints to Pompey!

He lives on the edge of Southampton, surrounded by Saints fans. Probably just didn't fancy the hassle.

Talking to a Huddersfield fan on Saturday and he mentioned that Joel Lynch is available he wasnt sure if it was his choice or the managers decision but got me thinking he is no longer the young up start who thought he was better than he was as per Guy Butters but is now 28 and an experienced defender, Could he do a job, left footed CB who is equally at home as left back cover.?

Couldn't decide Saturday if he was muscle bound or just plain fat!

Whichever of those he was very slow and barely good enough as a CB let alone a position that requires pace.

Certainly shouldn't loan one of our players to Sheffield Wednesday. Fulham or Blackburn could work as it would help them against our rivals (and presumably he couldn't play against us for Fulham). Would need to be a short term loan with a recall clause after 28 days though as we don't want to end up short of numbers in midfield and not be able to bring him back.

Lynch was sick that day. Properly unwell. Half the team were affected. Utterly ridiculous that he was played.

Exactly this. Sheffield Wednesday are a good bet for the Playoffs, so we certainly don't want to help them achieve that. Wes till have to face Fulham at home, (although presumably we wouldn't be permitted to play), and Blackburn are probably the best bet as they have no chance of promotion, and we have played them twice already.

We were commenting on his sudden stature difference. Was very skinny and weedy with us - looked like he'd done a years' steroids and weights Saturday! Also laughed when he tried to make a simple pass and it went careering out for a throw...
