no one's glorifying anything , how do you know that they just emerge for big away games? , keep yourself wrapped up in cotton wool and everything will be rosy me old bobble hatter

Get real - "The Lads" turn up for Southend, Chesterfield, Millwall, Brentford (sometimes), Leeds (sometimes) and for a few others like Peterborough when the goings good. They are rarely if ever seen at the likes of Rochdale, Oldham, Carlisle or anywhere that involves much effort or they might not have sufficent numbers to hold each others hands.

The regular awaydayers don't need some 50 year wannabe to look after them in case those nasty Northern types turn pwowpa nawty.

But Dandy this thread seems to be discussing protection at home (Amex) I want you to shield me at all times.

So is it a clothes thread (Smedley, Baracutta, Edwin Jeans and Loake Brogue boots, if you're asking) or a question about how many late 40's/early 50s fans are going to reappear ?

I know because im a regular at away games and you dont tend to see many 'casuals' as you put it on a tuesday night up at the likes of Oldham or Hartlepool.

Im far from wrapped up in cotton wool but thanks anyway. These thugs go to football matches primarily to have a tear up and cause trouble and your questioning my reasoning? I refer you back to my comments about football hooligans being glorifyed.

Just because they generally tend to scrap with like minded opposing fans doesnt make it acceptable. That said though it wasnt just opposing fans they gave a slap to at Charlton was it. We see idiotic behaviour from our supporters at every away game but thats no excuse to start bashing up your own in front of women and children in the middle of a packed stand.

you're right about northern midweek games, as for bashing up fellow fans i take it you're talking about Charlton , that's been well documented and the pricks who got roughed up now know the score , it did upset some people but i believe people did make appologies to them

Thats alright then.

I might go out later and mug a little old lady. Hopefully if i say sorry she'll let me keep her handbag and perse.

Not good enough my friend. 'Sorry' means you feel remorse and you would never do it again. I think we both know that these 'casuals' would do it again in a heartbeat.

Some of them are a bit older , cos I've seen them getting on the bus using their OAP concessionary passes.

You can always live it large at Selhurst - for about two minutes. I suggest wearing colours.

Been there done it mate,.......... we've all got the T shirt too,........ Norwood Junction.... owned,..... now grow up....
