Thats me done in then ! Personally I find my dog far superior company than most human beings I meet and given a choice would rather spend my time with him. If that's sad. I am sad.

How can anyone not find that sad? It's sad that a grown man would prefer to spend time with an animal you can't communicate with rather than find some human company. That's a sad situation.

That's not even remotely sad. Or unusual. Most pet owners and animal lovers prefer animals to humans. You can see why, surely?!

My point exactly. The bond with me and my Dog is incredible. People who are not dog lovers or bothered about animals can't understand it.

Seriously I can't. I've had cats over the years and always loved them, but no animal is a replacement for human interaction. I certainly don't mean to say US is sad himself, I think it's sad that in society a person believes a dog is better companionship than a human. That's what I think is sad.

The companionship of a dog is incomparable to that of a cat. Dogs possess some very human emotions & I can understand fully why so many people can feel that their dog has been a greater companion to them than any human has been.

My Dog cannot bear not to be at my side. He is always pleased to see me, gives unconditional love, hell he even walks upstairs, at nearly 14 with bad arthritis in his legs, when I have a bath to sit at the side of the bath. I have never met a human being or partner with that devotation !

Why is it a joke? The guys who finished second will be sorted for sure as will a few of the other acts that reached the final ten. The young girl and her dog wont be unless they get snapped up by a circus and even then wont earn much, so the £500k is her compensation for that IMO.
