I didn't realise they are stilling cold calling people for this scam.

I've lost count of the number of calls I've had from clients who have had pressure phone calls from "Microsoft" trying to sell their crap...I even had a female client in tears on the phone to me from all the verbal abuse the caller gave her when she refused to sign up to the scam. :flameboun

They are still at it!

Had a call today asking to speak to me about my Microsoft Windows PC. Told them I didn't own a Windows PC and he hung up straight away.

I really really want one of these calls but I've never had one. I collect retro computers and games consoles so I'm just waiting for them to call me so I can boot up the Speccy or the Amstrad and see how long it takes them to figure out why I can't follow their instructions.

I had a similar call a few months ago, whilst I was listening to the Ashes. Said I had to go and switch my PC on, and left the phone by the radio. When I came back half-an-hour later they had gone - must have been Aussie supporters!

I've had 3 of these scam calls in the past few days.

They always start "I'm ringing you from your broadband company about your computer problem"

When you say "Which broadband company?" they hang up! LOL
