If the first goal is an own goal then it is whoever scores the 2nd goal of the game that the first goalscorer bet will stand for.
Also if you fancy a game to end in 0-0 always back no goalscorer instead of 0-0 incase the first goal is an own-goal and the game ends up being 1-0 (you would then get the payout on there being no goalscorer)

Results haven't quite caught up with the impact made by Gus Poyet at Brighton yet but the progress being made on the south coast might not be such a secret after tonight's televised encounter with Colchester.
There's been nothing secretive about the admiration of the Albion players for the Uruguayan's managerial methods, although some have admitted it has taken them a while to absorb everything the former Chelsea midfielder has had to offer on a tactical level.
However, back-to-back wins over Charlton and Exeter indicate that things are taking a turn for the better and odds of 7/2 about the away win at the Weston Homes Community Stadium have some appeal.
The Seagulls have lost just twice in 12 outings and they haven't tasted defeat on the road since Christmas, so they shouldn't be found wanting for confidence against Aidy Boothroyd's men.
Punters are clearly in the loop about the positive vibe emanating from the Withdean because Brighton have been slashed from an opening price of 4/1 by numerous bookmakers but we still see value in the debris of that plunge.
Colchester have yet to truly convince us of their promotion credentials since the turn of the year.
The U's were excellent when winning four successive games in December but back-to-back hidings against Preston (0-7) and Norwich (0-5) raised doubts about the quality in their ranks and though subsequent results haven't been too bad, the fixture list has been kind.
A sequence of four straight home wins isn't quite so daunting once you understand that MK Dons and Carlisle had Wembley in their sights when travelling to Essex, while Southend and Oldham - both of whom currently reside in the bottom six - can consider themselves hard done by on the balance of play.
So the Seagulls should have nothing to fear and we also like the look of the 8/1 being offered on the Brighton/Brighton double result.
Poyet is clearly setting his team up to be difficult to break down because Albion haven't conceded inside 45 minutes for eight matches, so there's got to be some value in them seizing the initiative early and coming through victorious at more than double the 90-minute price.
