Go for 0.5 plus goals at 1/14 £50. Back the 0-0 draw at 8/1 with corals £6. Then you have £50 to spend in-play on whatever you want. One of the first 2 bets will come in, if the first comes in you are down 43p, if the second one comes in you are down £2. BUT you then have a 'free' £50 to do with what you want. Ronaldo to score first is 9/2, returns over £200, not bad for a free bet.

Absolutely but first comes in at £2.43 down, I think, to be an anorak about it.

I reckon that bet is far worse than ArfurW8 's original punt. The clever thing about his ruse is that the second bet automatically covers the first without looking like an obvious arb. To recap:

+0.5 goals (£50 @1/14), then bet on the draw in-play (£50 at around 23/10).

If either team wins, you're £3.57 up (your original £50 returns £53.57)
If 0-0 comes in, you're £65 up (your original £50 loses, but the free £50 bet returns £165 less the £50 free bet)
If a score draw comes in, £118.57 up (your original £50 returns £53.57 AND the free £50 bet returns £165 less the £50 free bet)

You win every single way, and make a tidy profit on a draw, which I reckon is far more likely than Ronaldo scoring first.

If a score draw comes in, £168.57 up (your original £50 returns £53.57 AND the free £50 bet returns £165)

You do not get the free bet refunded if you win with it, so you need to deduct £50 from the £165.

I will go for a big gamble with the £50 free as I am feeling lucky and it will cost a couple of quid.

I had trouble finding 0.5+ goals on Bet365 site and had to place the bet through oddschecker.

This is what I intend to do as well so long as I can get a signal at the AMEX.

Isnt this breeching the 'Guranteed profit' term?

These two teams have drawn 3 out of their last 20 meetings.

Edit - they've also drawn 3 of the last 8.

More:

They’ve played each other 6 times already this season: in the three home games Atletico have yet to concede a goal.
They tend to be marginally lower scoring games at the Vicente Calderon: 2.77 Total GPG.
Simeone has confirmed Mandzukic will partner Griezmann. Last time they met Mandy absolutely ripped the Real defence apart a la Buckley/Harding.

Some interesting tips on how to win some money here. However I think the bookies normally have most bases covered, the usual in play odds of 1/2 v 6/4 for both teams to win is throwing away money in the long run.

A company like BET 365 will not go bankrupt by punters winning more money than losing in the long run.

Knocky, you do get the £50 free bet stake back if it wins.

Just thought I'd throw this in the mix - Betfair are offering new customers either Real or Atletico to win @ a massive 7/1 with money back if you lose! There will no doubt be limits to the amount they will let you have on but combine it with the bet365 opportunity and you've really got an evening full of profit!
