I saw Midway in Oshawa (sorry THPP-it's a Canadian bit
) in 'Sensoround'...half of the ceiling fell on us during some of the scenes with the heavy guns going off....As good as The Killing Fields is what can ever beat 'Dad's Army-The Movies'?

hmmm, will have to be Saving Private Ryan for me. Yes it portrays the US version of events, it certainly shows the true horrors and reality of WW2 and war in general.

lots of the usual suspects mentioned. two underrated gems:
1 - The Beast (russian tank gets separated in afghanistan).
2- When Trumpets Fade (made for tv but still excellent, often referred to as Hamburger Hill 2).
both can be found cheap on dvd and are highly recommended. by me.
