That resonated. As a teenager, me and my close mates communicated almost exclusively in Simpsons quotes. I still use at least a few every day now and I'm sure that 80% of the time it goes over the head of my interlocutor but that doesn't matter; it either makes me smile inside or is just the most cromulent phrase to express myself at that moment.

My girlfriend and I were watching Buffy last night, as she'd never seen it, and I was telling her about the whole family getting together and watching it with dinner each week. Kids today just don't really get that feeling with TV now being so immediate.
