Mine was for North Lancing, away at Irene Avenue, in April 1976. I scored the winning goal. My cousin, Jeremy Harris, was playing for the other side.

Playing for Bexhill Town Under 16s Away at Winkney (From Eastbourne), circa 1987-88ish.

Our Fiery Irish midfielder punched one of their players in the face and received a yellow card, yes YELLOW!

Nightmare: 2-0 down after 3 mins, then saved a penalty, made a couple of other unlikely saves and we went on to get a 2-2 draw. Doesn't sound great but at 2-0 so quick I was sure it was gonna be a cricket score so it was certainly my best performance in a team that didn't lose the whole season.

Incidentally it was so long ago we played 2-3-5, as everybody did in those days :D

About 95 for Oakfield, scored my only ever school goal with a half volley from about the penalty spot in a 5-3 win.

Playing hockey for Rydon Intermediate at the age of 11, we kicked ass in a couple of tournaments, can't remember any of the scores but we had a bloke who could knock the ball past the keeper at head hight and a fair rate of knots from the half way line!

Beating some school from Kent in the national championships and scoring in the penalty shoot out. Their manager was premiership referee Steve Bennett.

Abort, retry, fail
Fields vs Sandersons. 7-6 down only a set piece left to play. I was up for a corner (goalkeeper). The ball was whipped in, I swung my leg back and tried to wallop it. The ball seemed to hang in the air for an age, and I had visions of being hoisted high on my fellow players shoulders for saving the point.

Completely missed it, but our striker was lurking beside me and half volleyed it into the net. Cue wild celebrations and Klinsmann dives into a big puddle.

True story. :clap2:

My school, Varndean, beat St. Wilfrids 8-1 today in quarters of county cup. I didn't score but got 4 assists! We were expecting to get beat as well tbh after last time we were outplayed by them.

Durrington Middle 1981 versus John Selden scored a belter on the volley.

Sad to think that I peaked at the age of 10.

Think Steyning played Varndean, remember it as being a bit of a grudge match...mind you, most of our games were!

The only time I ever turned out for the school at footy was for a Second XI game in Hastings, don't remember the name of the school, but it was on top of a hill and a very windy day...every time the ball went behind the goal our keeper had to run down a hill to fetch it back, poor sod was knackered by the end of the game.
