For me the main man sadly departed a few years back.

Tommy Vance - 'TV on the radio' and The Friday Rock show. Introduced me to many great rock acts and always had some great live recordings of festivals like Reading and Monsters of Rock at Castle Donnington.
If the criteria is introducing me to great music - it would include Terry Christian (even though he was very irritating) and Craig Cash (who was a useless DJ by his own admission but played some great music)

But as for favourite radio presenters - I’d go for one of the mos divisive choices - Chris Evans

Some great shouts on here but from the current roster, I'd like to add Simon Mayo.

For those who always enjoyed them, his Confessions podcast is back! They do still air confessions from the crypt but don't have access to the BBC ones, just the GHR ones. However, the old BBC Confessions podcast episodes can still be downloaded. If you've never heard any, you are missing a treat.

Frank Skinner

Followed by Johnny Vaughn

Both make me laugh but Skinner pips it for me.

Absolutely gutted that Frank Skinner’s show is coming to an end after 15 years. It’s been a rock for me during some tricky times. I shall miss it dearly.
I like Frank Skinner, but it grates in me when he constantly lets us know he a born again catholic and reformed alcoholic

for some of the older ones on this forum I’d choose Brian Redhead, Brian Johnsto and Humphrey Littleton
Oh good call on Brian Redhead and Brian Johnston, they'd be top of my list too, followed by John Arlott, John Peel and Danny Baker in that order. I don't listen to the wireless much these days, so I'm out-of-touch with current 'names'.
