In Friars Walk. It's been closed as a pub for years.

I've been in there too. My old grandad took me into just about every pub in town. Gawd bless him.

If you're going to be big crowd then either the volly or the elly would probs be best for space. The landsdown will be packed anyway and it's a small pub

63 pubs and 9 breweries in 1887, plus Lewes would have been smaller in those days !!!

"Lewes has a strong brewing heritage, at one time having nine breweries in the town, and only seven churches. Today, of course, only the award-winning and much loved Harveys Brewery remains in Cliffe High Street. The town was also lucky enough to have 63, yes 63, public houses in 1887."
