Me and my mates are planning a megga drinking session for a weekend soon and i was trying to think of good places to drink. we want to start about 2pm and carry on untill either we pass-out into a boozy heap or the drink runs out.

So my question is...

What would be your best pub crawl for a saturday afternoon/evening/night?

It has to be easy to get to the pubs and all done by bus!

NSC, i throw it out to you!

Edit: We would like to end up in town please

2pm? well you're starting too late!
10am Cafe for Full English, 1st pub by 11am then dont leave the final pub/clun until 3-4am....THATS a Pub Crawl!

Start at the Sussex Yeomen on Guildford Road and work your way down Trafalgar Street, via the pub in the Station, its all downhill and loads of pubs and if you run out you can do the Lanes.

One bank holiday monday my old flatmate and I walked from Newhaven to Peacehaven and visited every pub on the way...22 I think it was. Some f**king awful ones too!

The day ended in dissapointment when Dan my flatmate was showing off to a couple of girls in the Telscombe Tavern that he could juggle with pint glasses when he let one slip and it flew into a table of lesbians...

We were barred!!!!!

Happy days - I think?

Good call, the Han(g)over crawl. Start at the Pub With No Name and work your way down the hill to The Sun (or whatever it's called now). You can get plenty of muesli on the way. Failing that, try the Brighton part of the Ale Trail, but try it in this order, as the list on the website is all over the place geographically...

Hand in Hand, then quite a traipse to...
Sir Charles Napier
Dover Castle
Bugle, then another hefty traipse to...
Engineer
Cobblers Thumb
Prestonville Arms
Lord Nelson
Battle of Trafalgar
Evening Star
Basketmakers Arms
Wagon & Horses, where you end up slap bang in the middle of your own vomit...

We managed to do 11 of those on one Saturday, did not make it to the Hand in Hand.

You can get a god run out of St James' Street with many decent boozers in a relatively small area.

I'd start at the Dragon on St George's Road, then move on down to the Barley Mow, the Golden Cannon, Polar East, the Hand in Hand, The Marine Tavern, Sidewinder, that Bar with No Name, The Tin Drum, The Royal Oak and my personal favourite The Ranelagh. You could also throw in the Bulldog if you felt that way inclined and if you wanted to keep going after that you could just cross the Old Steine and head into the North Laines for such delights as The Wagon & Horses and the Lord Nelson.

Job done.
