What would be an Albion Premier League XI?

Ben Roberts, Bobby Zamora, Gareth Barry and Paul Dickov etc.

Henry is the greatest player to have played in the premiership, can't be arsed to add the other 10. Does Phil Stamp get a mention?

Karl Henry?

As you can tell I do like Manchester United haha. Beckham or Ronaldo was tricky, but went for Beckham in the end. Cantona or Van Nistelrooy, Cantona was epic but the dutchman use to tuck them all away. Bergkamp goes without saying, magic on the ball.

Schmeichal
Cole
Neville(I'd like to say micah richards but he's not been around long enough yet)
Campbell
Ferdinand
Vieira
Keane
Scholes
Ronaldo
Bergkamp
Shearer

That team would destroy anything in its path....including the current Barcelona team...

Vieira and Keane to dominate the midfield allowing Scholes to push further forward, creating merry havoc between the lines with a deep lying Bergkamp. Shearer leads the line giving the centre halfs no rest, while Ronaldo roams wherever he likes. Defensively if you manage to get past Vieria and Keane you then have to face the formidable back four who between them possess everything you could ever want your back four to possess. Finally, if you manage to get past Vieria and KEane and then create a shooting chance it needs to be an absolute peach to beat Schmeichal.

What. A. Team.

f***, I've left out Henry. Might replace Ronaldo with Thierry...

There is just too many to choose from, the Premiership has been blessed with greats. That team would destroy Barca.

Yet you didn't raise the inclusion of crofts, rodger and KITSON?! :bigwave:

Haha nope. I was more disgusted by Savage's inclusion, as he really did treat his time with us as a holiday, with a bit of football on the side.

When you say 'Premier League', I assume you're referring to the FA's half-baked idea to bollocks up the running of football further than it could ever have been on the back of the pipe dream which somehow included the advancement of the national side, grass roots and a National Academy?

Because apart from that the Premier League is little more than an exercise in charm-free marketing, over-ambition, under-achievement and failed promises. Except for players' wallets, agents, businessmen, international crooks and other assorted leeches, that is.

I completely understand the sentiment behind your post, but in this case it is a big anniversary; I don't think it's ridiculous to discuss "the best top flight team from the last 20 years"? Granted you could also do it for 10, 30, 40 etc... but 20 is still an interesting discussion.

Even as a staunch 'ABU', I've just totted up and realised that 7 of my 11 are Man Utd. How depressing.

I really can't wait for them to start imploding when Fergie throws the towel in - feel like I've been waiting for years and years.

Theres too many great players. Virtually an impossible team to select on talent alone. Just pure personal preference which will really come down to whoever you like/liked better.
