If we're talking stunning goals, I was sat about ten yards away from Beckham when he pinged one in from his own half. He is not, however, the best player I've seen play. Good goal though.

That would of been pretty good to watch I'm guessing. Bit jealous.

Had the great pleasure of watching George Best on a fair few occasions, even for Fulham. His best (for me) goal was never televised. He completely bamboozelled the entire Arsenal defence at Highbury in 1970, sending them one way then the other before sliding the ball from the edge of the area past Jim Furnell. The best player I've ever seen in the flesh by a country mile

Most exciting for me was ward.

Without doubt Paul Gascoigne at Italia 90 - It was an honour to watch him play. I have to add, Des Walker wasn't too far behind him in that tourno, but as a defender no-one really noticed him at the time...

'You'll never beat Des Walker' as the chant went!
