I have been quoted £440 to replace front discs and front brake pads for a hyundai I20.... seems quite steep to me. Is this a good price and if not any recommendations for a good , not expensive garage please.

Do some googling and find the price of parts . . . . Whack 30% on what you find . . . . Probably a 2 hour job to change so £200 labour

Genuine D&P will be more, but there are plenty of god other brands, Bosch for example . . . . £100-150 should do it

3-350 all in.

I appreciate many people are nervous of sorting their own brake pads even though it's a piece of piss but changing a battery...
Need to buy one first which is the main question, where's best. Regards fitting, have done it before but understand there are some other bits that need to be done which might be simple.. I think it's an issue with the radio...

Don’t use the people who did Max Verstappen’s.

Go online at Halfords and type in your reg and it should come up with what battery you need.

I have been getting quotes for my discs and pad to be replaced (I got the parts from euro car parts for £100 for a jag). I have been getting quotes to change them over at £60-£80. £440 is very over priced.

I am thinking of doing it myself. Looks quite easy to do with just a socket set and a screwdriver.
