If only we had signed an experienced striker we were promised we could look forward to having Championship standard football at Falmer, which would provide an increased attendance which is vital for our future.

I for one am not too bothered about promotion this year...I think you're forgetting the massive loss we're making at the Withdean, I mean literally, money bleeding out every game. In fact a season at Falmer before hitting the Championship would boost our coffers significantly, justify spending a little more on players, and give us a chance of staying up/finishing mid-table in the Championship. West Brom prove (time and time again) that playing pretty football doesn't guaruntee safety, as much as its great to watch, and our current squad, thrown into the Championship, would be a bit lightweight IMHO. Plus, from a selfish point of view, I prefer watching Albion win, and it'd take the gloss of the beautiful new stadium a little if we got spanked week in week out!
