When was the last time anybody had 'gristle' in a sausage ? Too long ago for me to remember when.

The only other time I've had alcohol free beer this year was at the Nou Camp. I ordered before I realised that all the "cerveza" served on the concourse was 0% alcohol. It was shit.

I've been to a couple of games in France and non alcohol beer was the only type on sale in the last stadium I visited, the French didn't seem to have a smoking ban though ( hopefully that's now changed)

Imagine the beer at the Amex being non alcoholic

Agree re Kaliber. Can't say I've ever sampled the water from your dogs bowl, or cardboard soaked in piss though!

It's apparent the biggest market in Europe for non alcohol lager, I've no idea why.

I'll have to try one or two of the beers mentioned on here next time I'm out somewhere that I have to drive home from. I suspect availability might be a big problem though. I've had some of the obvious ones (the only ones that are sold in most pubs, it seems) - Becks, Kaliber ...... yuk. If I have to drink that, I'll put in half a pint of lemonade as well and drink it as a shandy - it doesn't taste that different then to a 'proper' shandy - unlike the bloody stuff drunk neat.

Missus is pregnant so I'm not drinking atm in solidarity. Becks Blue is ok but my faves are Budweiser Prohibition and Carlsberg 0%. Both of which I cannot taste the difference at all.

I stopped drinking a while ago but i'm still keen on non alcoholic beers, Most aren't great especially the 00 lager ones (thats you Heineken, Becks, Budweiser).

But i've 3 favourites.

A couple of gripes - most pubs are terrible. They don't offer a choice or sometimes forget they stock them.
And i'm not the first to say it but hardly any are 500cl.

Any other recommendations ? And any pubs that do the right thing and stock a decent range ?

I’m also a long term non drinker, after , ahem, enjoying it rather too much.
Non alcolohic booze has definitely come on.
I haven’t tasted better than the brew dog.
I think the San Miguel is alright too.
Reading this thread defo makes me miss the real stuff tho.....

Pubs seem very poor at offering any choice of non alcoholic beer but another thumbs up for the Brookstead Ale House which serves a choice of 4.
