Easy, Glastonbury is best festival. I still go to numerous gigs each and every year (40 plus last year) and have loads of favourites. Queen at Wembley was a real highlight though.

I'm sure I went to some great Glastonbury's, after Battle of the Beanfield and before gentrification, but:-

instantly came to mind with some great memories.

Never done a big festival, and aside from individual gigs the highlight has to be Sleeper, Radiohead, Cranberries and REM on a stinking hot day at MK Bowl in '95.

Best festival/gig is two different things. Not a big festival fan - too much dross to listen to.

Reading 75 was good though:

Reading Festival 1975
Line-up

Robin Trower
Wishbone Ash
Mahavishnu Orchestra
Caravan

Best ever gig: far too many!

Gen X / Johnny Thunders (Nashville, North End Road, Fulham)
Shrink (Nashville)
Wire (Nashville)
Magazine (Nashville)
Lynyrd Skynyrd (Dome)
Family (Dome)
Stranglers (Top Rank)
Clash/Scritti Politti (Top Rank)
Specials (Brighton Art School I think)
Legendary Pink Dots (Vancouver)
Comsat Angels (Top Rank, and again 25 years later in Sheffield)
Icon of Coil (Sheffield)
VNV Nation (several gigs in London)
The Dandies (several times above the Inn Place)
Ulrich Schauss (Oxford)
Leslie West (Deal)
Assemblage 23 (Camden)
D/Vision (Camden)
Thin Lizzy (Hammersmith)
Attila (a pub in Faversham)

I'm bored now :lolol:

A snip at £32 :)
That Petrol Emotion a great band.

The Butthole Surfers, wwhhhhooooooo, kept swapping their 'good' guitars for their 'smash this one' then reach for their good ones again.

I was there too, a long, but enjoyable day, ended up sleeping in car after breaking down.

Glasto 1992 - Tom Jones was the special guest and he was probably the very best live show I've ever seen:-

Carter absolutely smashed it as well.
