Ultimate Soccer Manager.

The game where you could BRIBE other teams and match officials! Genius!

What a game! Could build your own stadium too!

The Champ Manager are legendary but I'm gonna go for SWOS it had managerial stuff and you played the games, what more could you want.

If we were talking about just playing then Kick Off 2 STILL wipes the floor with every other game released.

CM01/02 EVERY time.

Bright106.4, I linked to an update for 01/02 the other week, will fish it out for you if you want? (Obviously, you need the game!)

After creating this NOSTALGIC thread earlier on, I was in the mood for some RETRO gaming. When I got back from work I attempted to install CM 97/98 on my home computer. What I'd forgotten is that CM 97/98 is a DOS based program, and on my home computer I can't even see as much as a 'DOS Promt' in Windows. (Did they do away with this after Windows 98?? :lolol:)

Somehow I managed to install the game, but couldn't bloody load it through Windows XP. So I started clicking all the clickable icons on the disc drive, and then.................................the f***ing screen went BLANK!!!

Eventually the computer returned to the normal desktop screen but with the pixels and icons now Windows 95'esque and with a fatal error message. :nono: Apparantly the video driver had failed completely, and I thought I'd f***ed the computer right up!

However after 20 mins of finger crossing and praying, a system restore sorted everything out! Phew..

Moral of this story is: Maybe moving with the times is a good idea! :lolol: CM 97/98 may well have been a great game. But I think it's best for the both of us if we go our seperate ways!

I especially loved this one:

On the Amiga?
That's my all time favourite too. Used to go back home to see the family, say hi, go upstairs to my little brother's room and spend the entire weekend with him playing it 2 player. Derby games were immense.

I also give my support to Premier Manager 2 on the Amiga, the game was immense and I still have it (and my old Amiga in my wardrobe). The time I spent on it was incredible it could be easy.

I loved the game but thought it could do with a few minor adjustments to make it even better so I eagerly awaited Premier Manager 3...I got Premier Manager 3 on it's release and despite trying hard to it a real go it was a poor game in my opinion. So I went back to Premier Manager 2!!

I still remember having Woking winning the Premier League & European Cup year in, year out with a 80,000 all seated, 100% rated Kingfield Stadium.

One of the things I did not understand though was why attendances for the other clubs dropped dramatically. By the year 2020 whilst I was getting 60,000 odd thousand with Woking Man U & Arsenal were averaging about 8,000!!!...Weird.

I also want to make mention of a couple of management games that were basic but addictive...They are Football Crazy & Football Masters.

In the end though Premier Manager 2 beats all comers.

Albion & England forever.

The only manager game that I can find, that will run on my computer, is Championship Manager 2006 :(

So I'm playing that, and it's proper shit I tell thee!

Champo 96/97 for me. Jason Peake always got 40 assists a season, Peter Smith at right wing back was unstoppable. In fact, most of out players were good in that game, which was a welcome distraction from the shower of shit in real life.
