"The Thieving Magpie" isn't fantastic in comparison to some of the other live recordings Marillion and Fish have released. "Return to Childhood" has, in my opinion, a much better reading of Misplaced Childhood and "Live at Loreley" is a better overall band performance.

I beg too differ about return to childhood.I think the live cd on the thieving magpie is spot on but thats opinion.
Isnt 'Live at Loreley' a video/dvd?.I have it on dvd.I seem too recall they did give a limited amount of cds away with the original video though and yes it is a fantastic concert.Great days..................

Good call! He did a great live double album too taken from various concerts throughout the 80s, including the Joe Jackson Band's final gig.
