Best League One Striker ?

regardless of spot kicks and free kicks (a goal is a goal) he has something like 16 assists i think they said yesterday and his overall link play and hold up for the team... plus in terms of goals.. its a about 80 in 150 games for bristol r and southampton

also im not saying murray has improved cause of his goal scoring... more his work rate for the team and his movement

I would rate a strike on 2 'main' attributes. Goals (from time on pitch) from open play and assists. You need to exclude free-kicks/penalties, as some teams may have a dead-ball specialist.

How hasn't Steve Morison been considered? 18 goals in 30 odd appearances for millwall this season. Pacy, strong and a hard worker, a lot better than most that have been mentioned.

Both Morrison and Austin are only just out of non-league football, there may be a lot more to come from them or there may not. It depends what you want, I think Beckford will always score goals but will contribute little else on or off the field.

I think, bounce this thread this time next year, and (barring any major injuries) Murray will be talked about as one of the top 3 strikers in the League. Not yet though.

Holt Lambert and Murray all played for Rochdale, around the same time too. Imagine that

And still they couldn't get promoted!

Remember when Cureton, Roberts, someone who's name escapes but was good and Zamora all played for Bristol Rovers? We have never been blessed with an abundance of good strikers as far as I remember.

Lambert and Beckford are streets ahead of everyone else.
