Is there a philosophical discussion to be had about whether the evil doings of a talented artist actually reduce the quality of what he or she did? I have a feeling it has already happened on here in the past. For me, it doesn't change the quality, but just changes people's attitudes as to whether they want to see or hear it, and therefore the value plummets.

My son-in-law, who is a part-time artist, has a painting by Rolf harris on his wall. he worked in an art gallery a few years ago when a student , and one customer came in, bought the painting, paid for it and then never went back to collect it. When Stuart left, the gallery owner gave him the painting.... which is actually quite impressive. It's probably worth a fraction now of what it was when he first had it...…… not that it would ever have been megabucks, I think.
