The 'Choose one musical artist, just one and one only' has got me onto what is your favourite Jools track (played or introduced). I may be back

This was some intro to a geezer in a dodgy hat for me

Got to be At The Drive In’s chaotic, frenzied and unhinged performance of One Armed Scissor.
Guitarist knocks his guitar hideously out of tune after a few seconds, try’s to improv his way through the song, breaks a couple of strings and gives up by throwing the guitar away to play the tambourine … with great gusto.

The band were touring in support of the album, relationship of command; the album is great as were their incendiary live shows from this period.

I also wanted to post this. I had just met my now wife and was in Newcastle the night before Brighton played Sunderland. She was a Nick Cave fan, and although I knew a lot about him I’d never really listened to him. I caught this on Jools Holland and loved it. It’s a love song of sorts and became the one and only song we played at our wedding…just after we were man and wife.
