Whether it be the start , the middle or indeed the end, whether it be a group, solo artist, whatever

Year of the Cat - Al Stewart - stunning guitar/sax in the middle

November Rain - Guns N Roses / Slash - stunning double guitar solo in the middle, beautiful

part 2 to follow

Tim Renwick did the guitar part on YOTC. It was a solo I worked on for a long time to get it right. You can carry the guitar bit on into the sax part. The sax might have been that Parry bloke who was on Dark Side Of the Moon.

I worked on the 'November Rain' video shoot as casting co-ordinator for the live parts. Slash played the guitar solo differently for every take, and each time it was good. I'm not a GnR fan, but they impressed me by doing a whole set for the audience, between takes while cameras and crew were setting up for the next go.
Most bands only play the song they are filming, and even then they mime!

Agree with Uncle Spielberg regarding the end piece of 'Down in the Sewer by The Stranglers: Absolutely awesome, and one of my all-time favourite tracks (Jean Jacques-Burnel used to be a brilliant bass guitarist).
