Best hotels for Cardiff

Well I have blown the budget for this one . Ibis Budget Hotel triple room £18. Its a cracker !!

That's where we are staying also.

Stayed there last season as well, when my son set fire to the toasting machine with a croissant. Be warned!

We stayed at the Royal Cardiff Hotel on St Marys Street when we went for 20/20 finals day.
Smart, reasonable priced, good full English etc
Right in city centre, near Wetherspoons if youd rather have a cheap crappy Brekkie

Just googled Hotel Hitony can't seem to find it , is it one of those secret hotels for swingers

I heard that it gets locked fairly early and then mysteriously disappears.

The Angel used to be a great hotel, but I have not stayed there for a few years.

Budget Ibis booked, £18 for up to three people. Planning to spend as little time there as possible but it looks clean, that's the main thing!

The ibis is fine, cheap, cheerful and clean. The hotel is also very near to queen street station so easy to get there and probably alittle closer to the centre of town/malls.

I have stayed a couple of times at the Mercure , Cardiff ...off E.Tyndall Street. We picked because it is close to the Motorpoint Arena, for gigs. The Hotel has been good though

The Ibis is currently £24 with breakfast being an extra £4.25 per person - very tempted to go now !!

With tickets at only £19 it could be a fairly cheap trip away.

We found some pit in the city centre for £25. Not sure what it will be like but looking forward to finding out and spending time and money in the city rather than the hotel room (since not going with a female) :/

Anyone know good place for a couple of quiet(ish) friendly drinkies before the game?

Try Chapter Arts Centre, about 10 mins walk to the ground or the City Arms in the city centre.

In the Ibis Budget now and for £18 it is a bargain. Spotless room and friendly staff. £4 to park in hotel car park for 24hrs. Walking distance from centre and station. Off to Nandos tonight to (kick) have a chat with Noone !!
