Spot on. It was against Peterborough on 1st October 1966 , and he scored one from about 35 yards ( this is probably an exaggeration but it looked that far out to an excited 14 year old.)
Kit is one of my all time favourite Albion players.

Thought it was Peterborough. I had gone to a match somewhere in London....knew we were losing at half-time....then bought a newspaper on the way home ( ? Evening Standard), to check the final result. Thought it was a mis-print. ....LOL..! The results were printed in a barely readable blue ink on the back page. Happy days...!

How many goals did he score direct from his corner-kicks....?

Before my time ...what happened?

from memory Duffy scored a waist high volley on debut from around the penalty spot but more particularly he brought genuine skill to a team that was generally hard working but lacking real imagination. Good little player and a fantastic character who brought a lot of excitement in his short time with us but he enjoyed a night out and looked like he regularly raided the fridge with a fit of the munchies. Kit Napier was different class, played right across the front with equal skill and a shot like a mule. Best player ever too have worn the stripes for me.

Such a shame there is no footage. Luckily we got fans to keep alive Bha history.
