Bryan Wade

I considered Wade but I came away from that game thinking Wade wasn't particularly good. lol I wasn't impressed with him.

TBH if a striker scores 2 like Barnes yesterday he had a good day. If he scores 4 on his home debut he had a great day.

Lots of good memories......especiallyKit Napier and Alan Duffy, but the stand out one for me was Gerry Ryans home debut. After years of wingers who just crossed the ball aimlessly into the penalty area.....he actually made the time to look up first....then put a precision cross in.

If I remember correctly ( it was a long time ago ) we were 1-0 nil down at half time on his debut and ended up winning 5-2 with him scoring twice - something like that. Glad to see him on the legends walk at the AMEX.

Spot on. It was against Peterborough on 1st October 1966 , and he scored one from about 35 yards ( this is probably an exaggeration but it looked that far out to an excited 14 year old.)
Kit is one of my all time favourite Albion players.
